Michael Castrilli / Docente per il Villanova Center for the Study of Church Management and Businnes Ethics

Michael Castrilli is an adjunct professor at Villanova University’s Center for the Study of Church Management and Business Ethics. He teaches graduate courses in the MS in Church Management program on Pastoral Strategic Planning and Church Program Analysis & Project Management. He is a featured presenter in numerous other Center-sponsored programs including the Center’s ongoing church management for seminarians program and its church management webinar certificate series offered in collaboration with Our Sunday Visitor. Along with his teaching experience, as a Center Fellow, Michael has authored articles on church budgeting and program management and is currently co-authoring a book with Dr. Chuck Zech on Best Practices for Parish Budgeting and Financial Management. The book will offer a single comprehensive source to guide pastors and parish administrators through the steps needed to ensure an effective, as well as an accountable and transparent, financial process. Along with his church management expertise, Michael is the Director of Education and Professional Services where he advises Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations on critical business decisions. Michael received an M.P.A. from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, an M.Div from the Washington Theological Union, and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany. He currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
