DO GOOD AND DO IT RIGHT
«I dream of a “missionary option”, that is, a missionary impulse capable of transforming everything, so that the Church’s customs, ways of doing things, times and schedules, language and structures can be suitably channeled for the evangelization of today’s world rather than for her self-preservation.»
Evangelii Gaudium 27

In this file the project described in detail.
PASTORAL MANAGEMENT
In the history of Christianity, the faith has always been accompanied by the action of concrete works. Do good and do it right was for many saints and great people of the Church, and not only, the full realization of themselves and their mission in the world. A good thing done right, so the aim becomes one with the means and the action becomes a benediction. This is not proselytism, but the dynamic of the Gospel: embodying the words in real actions. «Mercy is contemplated in action» said Pope Francis, «by filling what is lacking and, even better, predicting it».
The community we work in is unsettled by the financial uncertainty that weighs on the future of the youth, family and businesses, requiring an increasing production, quality and complexity of pastoral actions. Moreover, financial resources are more and more scarce and difficult to find. Evaluate present resources in the community, to transform the costs into earning opportunities for financial pastoral initiatives is one of the main challenges of today. Then the call to use these resources with transparency and for the common good is strongly emerging.
The communities must also anticipate and face situations that certainly do not facilitate efficiency and effectiveness, such as the union of parishes with the decrease in vocations, institutional activities more and more difficult to manage while maintaining high standards of service and finally a challenging management of qualified lay employees.
The management of people and of processes of organization and communication is becoming more and more fast and complex and, at the same time, the level of missionary pastoral action is increasing; it is therefore necessary to involve the whole community in a effective and innovative way.
The International School of Pastoral Management intends to address these and other needs through the use of skills and strategies developed in the business community and the civil economy at several levels, declined with the values, style, attention to the person, language and sensitivity belonging to the teaching of the Church.
New approaches, methods, organization and management techniques, not only to prevent and resolve constraints and obstacles related to profoundly changing economic situations, but also to know how to innovate and create new pastoral opportunities. Put together properly and effectively these technical skills with the missionary nature of the Church’s: this is pastoral management!
