Professor at the University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management in Essen, Germany
Thomas Suermann de Nocker is full professor for general business studies, especially strategic management and sustainability at the FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management.
Prof. Suermann de Nocker worked several years as a strategy advisor for international consultancies, earned an MBA and did his doctorate in pastoral theology at the Catholic-Theological Department of the University of Münster in 2011. His thesis on the cooperation of strategic consultancies and Catholic Dioceses was graded “summa cum laude” and awarded with the Paul-Nordhues-Caritas-Prize.
With a business and theological background he is an aknowledged researcher in the fields of church management and strategic pastoral development in Germany. He lives in Essen with his wife and daughters.
